This stud is the first core existing Sorraias in Germany, where he was taken by the hand of Prof. Michael Schäfer. The initial core was composed by three female - Valquíria (Baia coat), which was goddaughter of Valiosa (rat coat) and Arisca (rat coat) - two males and - Esbelto (rat coat) and Tareco (Baia coat). Valqíria was already pregnant when she left Portugal, leading to a baio male - Vaqueiro - in 1976, already in Germany, corresponding to the first product of this stud. Since then, the establishment has been going with success, thanks to liking, to work and the effort of Schäfer couple in maintaining a core as significant of Sorraias, which is now a unparalleled value to the preservation of this breed, not only allowing diversification and the significant increase in effective but also enabled the "removal" of some genetic animals from their source, which will be of great importance in future population perspective. In recognition of this symbolic gesture, the International Breeders Association of Primitive Type Horse - Sorraia appointed him as an honorary member at the very solemn act of its creation.

The actual Sorraia effective of this stud farm initially directed to the creation of Trakhener race horses, comes from the stud Schäfer. In late 1999 acquired two stallions, Enano, mouse fur, and Tabaco, bay coat. In 2000 acquired two females, Alana, mouse fur, and Acarnerada, baia coat. Tabaco was castrated and sold as riding sport. Acarnerada had been covered by Exotic stallion still in Schäfer stud, leading in 2001 to a bay colt - Exorbitante - currently in Portugal (Lagos, Quinta das Sorraias) to cover the Ventura and Atocha mares, also coming from the Schäfer stud. The effective of this stud farm has increased very slowly. Although Acarnerada show a high fertility, besides the Exorbitante stallion, only registered another living product, Admiração, born in 2005, since the products born in 2003 and 2004 were not viable.

It is the largest German stud farm, consists of horses coming from the Schäfer stud farm. Given the express request by Michael Schäfer to take care of the continuation of the sorraia horse breeding in Germany, acquired two mouse coat stallions (Edição and Vândalo II) and a baia coat (Taino) and two female mouse coat (Alcantara and Aldeia) and four baia coat (Agolada, Almendoa, Veiga and Voga). Initiated in 1999-2000, already has twelve products born. The current herd consists of 21 animals, including mares, foals and stallions.

"Wisent Gehege Springer" is a zoological park belonging to the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to the commitment to the conservation of different animal species (eg the European bison, elk and horse przewalski), endeavored, also, to contribute to the preservation of the Sorraia horse. The current core consists of animals taken to Germany for Hardy Oelke, between 1999 and 2001: Ratinha, mouse fur and iron Abecassis; Opal and Pompeii, mouse fur and iron Andrade (Agoladade Baixo Homestead); Pescado and Ultrajado, both iron Andrade (Font'Alva Homestead), the first baia coat and the second rat fur. This initial core exists descent, with the surplus animals being sold to other breeders (eg. Seth Stud Farm).
